General Dentistry

Dr Fawaz Siddiqui

Dr Siddiqui has been practicing dentistry in the Niagara region since 2006. He originally grew up in Mississauga and completed his bachelor of science degree in life sciences at the University of Toronto. He then continued his dental education at the University of Toronto and graduated from dental school in 2006. He continues to give back to the University of Toronto by giving seminars to the dental students. He is a genuine, caring doctor who is very passionate about dentistry and always serves in the best interest of his patients. Dr Siddiqui enjoys baseball, soccer, travelling and spending time with his family and friends.

Dr Ninan Joshua

Dr Ninan Joshua has been practicing in the Niagara region since his graduation from Dalhousie University in 2004. He joined the Fourth Avenue Dental family full time as of January 2014. Dr Joshua continues to update his education and keeps up with the modern advancements in dentistry. He also donates his time to the less fortunate and needy in the Niagara area as well as abroad. He has recently set up a children’s dental charity in Kerala, India that gives basic dental and hygiene care to those kids in need. When Dr Joshua does not have his mask on at work he enjoys playing music, traveling and spending time with his daughter Eliza.

Dr Steven Biner

Dr Biner graduated from the University of Toronto in 2013 and practiced dentistry alongside his father. After gaining experience and confidence, Dr Biner pursued an adventurous opportunity providing dental care to remote communities all over north western Ontario. Dr Biner’s passion for dentistry grew when he accepted a role at the Meno Ya Win hospital in Sioux Lookout Ontario.
Dr Biner’s sense of adventure and passion for helping others has also led him to travel to Tijuana, Mexico, and the beautiful Caribbean island of Grenada to provide free dental care to those in need. Dr Biner is both a member of the Ontario Dental Association and the Academy of General Dentistry.
Outside of dentistry, Dr Biner tries to stay active and can usually be spotted walking his dog or out on his bike. He is an avid hockey fan and never misses a moment to cheer on the Montreal Canadiens.

Dr Linda Jiang

Dr. Linda. earned her B.Sc from Queen’s University and completed her dental degree in 2012 from the University of Western Ontario. She enjoys treating and conversing with patients of all ages and helping them establish happy and healthy smiles.

Outside of the office she is an avid traveler, foodie, and sports fan. She loves a good laugh. She has worked all over the Niagara region since 2013 and currently resides in St. Catharines. One day she hopes to live somewhere tropical and coastal.

Specialized Dentists

Dr Cameron Goertzen

Dr. Cameron Goertzen, DDS, MSc
Dental Anaesthesia Provider
Dr. Goertzen joined the Fourth Avenue Dental team in 2022.
After graduating from The University of Western Ontario with a Bachelor of Medical Science,
Honours degree in Pathology & Toxicology, Dr. Goertzen obtained his Master of Science
degree in Physiology & Pharmacology from the University of Western Ontario. He then
completed his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the University of Toronto.
Dr. Goertzen then completed his 3-year Dental Anaesthesiology program at The University of
Toronto, where he gained extensive experience in providing general anaesthesia, moderate,
and deep sedation to a wide variety of both healthy and medically-compromised adult and
child patients.
He trained for three years at multiple hospitals in Toronto, including Michael Garron Hospital,
The Hospital for Sick Children, Mount Sinai Hospital, and Sunnybrook Hospital, where he
provided dental care under general anaesthesia, moderate, and deep sedation to medically
compromised patients and those with special healthcare needs in both clinical and operating
room settings. Dr. Goertzen is licensed by the RCDSO to provide general anaesthesia,
moderate, and deep sedation to patients of all ages undergoing dental procedures in a dental
office.
Dr. Goertzen is an active member of the Ontario Dental Association, the Niagara Peninsula
Dental Association, The Canadian Academy of Dental Anaesthesia, and The American Society
of Dental Anesthesiology. Dr. Goertzen is also a clinical instructor at The University of
Toronto, Faculty of Dentistry.
Dr. Goertzen lives in his hometown of Niagara-on-the-Lake with his wife, Dr. Erin Goertzen.

Dr Jamie Ong
Child Specialist

Dr Jamie Ong grew up in Montreal where she completed her Bachelor of Science degree at McGill University in 2004. After spending a year doing research at the Montreal Neurological Institute, she then continued to pursue a degree in dentistry and obtained her D.M.D. degree at McGill University in 2009. She also completed a general practice residency at New York Hospital Queens in Flushing, New York working with the medically compromised and special needs population. After working for a year as a general dentist in the GTA, Dr Ong went on to complete her specialty in Pediatric Dentistry at the University of Toronto and is a fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada.

Dr Abbas Hassanali
Periodontal Specialist

Dr Abbas Hassanali is a certified specialist in Periodontology and Implant Surgery. He completed his undergraduate training in Cell and Molecular Biology at the University of Toronto followed by his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the very same institution. He was the recipient of several academic awards and was inducted into the Omricon Kappa Upsilon (OKU) Honour Society in recognition of his academic achievements. He subsequently completed his MSc and advanced specialty training in Periodontics and Implant Surgery, also at the University of Toronto. His research, which was focused on protein biochemistry, cell biology and matrix dynamics, has been published and presented at several international meetings.

Dr Hassanali provides the full scope of surgical periodontal and dental implant therapy. In addition to the conventional periodontal procedures such as pocket reduction and crown lengthening, Dr Hassanali has a special interest in esthetic and reconstructive periodontics. These procedures include soft tissue grafting for correction of gingival recession, periodontal regeneration, pre-prosthetic site development including alveolar ridge augmentation, maxillary sinus floor augmentation (both direct and indirect), and guided bone regeneration (GBR). Dr Hassanali believes in prevention first and foremost. He strives to provide his patients with the best treatment options available focusing on what is necessary for their long term oral health.

Dr Hassanali is a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada and an active member of the Ontario Dental Association, Canadian Dental Association, and Ontario Society of Periodontists. He continues to maintain strong affiliation to the University of Toronto as an Associate in Dentistry, where he contributes to the surgical training of residents in the Implant Prosthdontics Unit. Dr Hassanali also lectures to dentists on topics limited to Periodontics and Implant Surgery.
